Acceptable Use Policy
Doorlyn is for making welcome books about how a home works. This policy sets out what books may contain and how the service may be used. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. What a Doorlyn book is for
Practical information for people staying in a home you let or host: arriving and keys, Wi-Fi, appliances, bins and recycling, house notes, local favourites, who to contact and how to check out — written by you, about a home you have the right to describe.
2. What books must not contain
Doorlyn checks for several of these automatically and won’t make a book that includes them. You must not try to include:
- Tenancy and legal content — lease or tenancy terms, deposits, rent, fines or penalties, legal or compliance statements, or anything presented as a contract or official notice.
- Guests’ or tenants’ personal information — names, contact details, ID or passport numbers, dates of birth, booking references or anything else that identifies the people staying.
- Documents we don’t make — identity documents, passport photos, tickets, invoices, receipts, certificates, contracts or medical documents, or anything imitating them.
- Other people’s rights — content that infringes copyright, trade marks or privacy, including imitations of real brands’ logos or identities.
- Harmful or unlawful content — anything illegal, fraudulent, discriminatory, harassing, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or that promotes self-harm.
- False information — deliberately misleading instructions or claims about a property.
3. Illustrations and AI content
- Don’t present Doorlyn illustrations as photographs of a real property, for example in listings or adverts.
- Don’t remove, crop out or alter the visible “how it was made” page’s AI notice for public distribution, or strip the machine-readable AI metadata from PDFs.
- Doorlyn does not accept uploaded photos and does not create images of real people. Don’t attempt to use it to depict a real, identifiable person, to swap faces, or to imitate the personal style of a living artist.
- Don’t use Doorlyn illustrations separately from a book, such as for logos or standalone artwork.
4. Using the service fairly
- Don’t get around plan allowances or watermarks, for example by creating multiple free accounts or editing signed book data.
- Don’t scrape, copy or resell the service, the illustration library or the book designs, or use automated tools to make books in bulk.
- Don’t try to access other users’ data, probe or disrupt our systems, or reverse engineer the service.
- Don’t share, sell or transfer your account.
5. If this policy is broken
We may refuse to make a book, remove content, or suspend or close an account, in proportion to the seriousness of the breach and after a warning where appropriate. Where the law requires, we report unlawful content to the authorities.
6. Reporting
If you see a Doorlyn book or link that breaks this policy — including AI content you think is harmful or misleading — email support@taylorjacs.shop with “Report” in the subject and the link if you have it. We review reports within 2 business days. See also our AI Transparency Notice.
