What goes into a Doorlyn welcome book?

Accepted Answer

Only what you type in: arrival and keys, Wi-Fi, bin and recycling days, how your appliances work, house notes, local favourites, who to call if something goes wrong, and check-out steps. Doorlyn arranges them into a 6–12 page book with a cover, a welcome page, a contents list and one page per topic.

Will it add things I didn’t write?

Accepted Answer

No. Doorlyn only sorts and tidies your own words. Every time, number, name, code and instruction in the book comes from you. If a language model is used to smooth the wording, its output is checked against what you wrote, and anything new — a number, a name, a link — means it is thrown away and your own wording is used instead.

Can I put my tenancy terms, deposit or house rules with fines in it?

No. A welcome book is for how the home works, not for contract terms. Doorlyn stops if it sees deposits, rent, fines, legal or compliance statements, and asks you to keep those in your agreement instead.

Do the illustrations show my actual home?

Accepted Answer

No. Each style has its own series of AI-generated illustrations — a cover and six chapter scenes — that set the mood. They are artwork, not photographs of your property, and they never contain lettering: every word in your book is typeset, so names, codes and numbers are always exact.

How do I print it?

Download the PDF and print it at A5, or at A4 as two-up. It looks good on a home printer; for a bound copy, any local print shop can saddle-stitch it.

What is the mobile link?

On the Host and Lettings plans, each book also has a link that opens a phone-friendly version, so you can send it before guests arrive. Anyone with the link can read the book, so share it only with your guests.

Is the Free plan really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can make one book each calendar month without a card. Free books carry a Doorlyn watermark and are for personal, non-commercial use.

Question 8

How does billing work?

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in US dollars at the price shown. They renew automatically each month until you cancel. Unused books do not carry over to the next month.

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

From your account page, with one button — no email or phone call needed. You keep your plan until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.

Can I get a refund?

If you haven’t made a book in the current billing month, you can cancel within 14 days of paying and get a full refund. Once you make a book, the digital content has been supplied and that month is no longer refundable, which we ask you to confirm before you subscribe. Your statutory rights are not affected — see the Refund Policy.

Do you use my details to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. What you type is used to make your book and nothing else. It is never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s.

Question 12

Do you collect my guests’ personal information?

Accepted Answer

No. There are no fields for guests, and Doorlyn stops if it sees things like guest names, ID numbers or booking references. Guests reading a mobile link aren’t tracked.

How is AI-generated content labelled?

Accepted Answer

Every book ends with a page explaining how it was made, and every PDF carries machine-readable metadata marking its illustrations as AI-generated. Images on this site carry the same marker. See our AI Transparency Notice.
