AI Transparency Notice
Doorlyn uses AI in two specific places. This notice explains where, what it never does, and how we label AI-generated content — including under Article 50 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, which applies from 2 August 2026.
Where AI is used
| Part of a book | AI used? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Cover and chapter illustrations | Yes | Generated with AI image models. Each style has its own illustration series; on some deployments illustrations may be generated for an individual book. Prompts forbid lettering, logos and real people. |
| Arrangement of your text | Sometimes | Doorlyn’s rule-based arranger sorts and tidies your notes. Where an AI language model is used to smooth wording, its output is checked against your notes and discarded if it adds anything new. |
| Every word, number, code, time and name | No | All text is typeset by code from what you typed — never drawn into images — so it is always exact. |
| Scene photography and short films on this website | Yes | Generated with AI image and video models and labelled where they appear. |
What Doorlyn’s AI never does
- It never adds facts: no invented times, numbers, places, rules, safety advice or emergency numbers.
- It never writes tenancy terms, deposits, legal or compliance statements.
- It never processes information about your guests, and never creates images of real people.
- Your content is never used to train AI models — ours or our providers’.
How AI content is labelled
For people
- Every book ends with an “About this book” page stating that the illustrations are AI-generated and how the text was arranged.
- Shared mobile books show an “AI illustrations” label.
- AI-generated images, films and example pages on this website are captioned as AI-generated.
For machines
- Every PDF contains XMP metadata with the IPTC Digital Source Type
compositeWithTrainedAlgorithmicMedia, plus document keywords identifying AI-generated content. - Illustration and photograph files published by Doorlyn carry XMP metadata with the IPTC Digital Source Type
trainedAlgorithmicMedia. - We keep any provenance marks applied by our model providers, and we are adopting signed content credentials (C2PA) as the standard matures.
Human responsibility
You stay in control of every book: you write the content, see every page before downloading and choose whether to use it. Please check important details before sharing. If you publish a book, please keep its AI notice with it.
Limitations
Illustrations are general scenes chosen to suit a style — they don’t show your home, and details such as appliance models or bin colours may not match yours. Automated checks reduce but can’t eliminate mistakes.
